Details

Our Posta HRC59 impact stamps are made from 1.2510 steel. If desired we can also use 1.2379 steel (sverker).

Posta impact stamp in the standard version

This version of the impact stamp is suitable for marking softer materials such as wood, leather, plastic and metals such as silver, brass, tin, lead and copper.
The images are fully engraved, which results in a blunt engraving.

Posta impact stamp in sharp or rounded design

If you want to mark hard metals, such as steel or stainless steel, then choose a sharp engraving. For the engraving we start from the centre line of the image. Your design will therefore be adjusted.

We can also round off the engraving to minimise the stress on the surface when stamping and reduce any potential damage.

You can choose from these options below.

Dimensions of engraving: up to max. 18x13mm
Shaft dimensions: 20x15x100mm
Dot engraving (mini stress), for use on sensitive materials, on request

The standard steel we use for our impact stamps is 1.2510. This is the most widely used steel worldwide. The steel has a hardness-increasing element manganese content of 1.90 and a chromium content of 0.40, which provides extra hardness. It is a wear-resistant and tough steel.

You can also choose 1,2379 steel. Due to the increased vanadium (V) content, this steel is more resistant to wear and tear. This steel grade is the world's most commonly used 12% chromium steel.

The impact stamp is hardened at 59 HRC. The service life of the stamp is very long. The sides are cleanly cut. An accurate positioning on the material is thus possible. Untreated steel can also be marked, even up to a tensile strength of 150 kg/m². The impact stamp can also be engraved with an "unreadable" mark, to be used for marking a mould or cast.
