Slagcijfers zijn zogenoemde handslagstempels. Zij zijn gemaakt van extra hard getrokken staal, gehard op 58-61 HRC en volledig vernikkeld.
De tekens zijn scherp en diep geslagen; de zijkanten zuiver toegeslepen. Een nauwkeurige plaatsbepaling op het materiaal is aldus mogelijk.
De standtijd (levensduur) van de slagstempel is zeer lang. De slagcijfers zijn geschikt voor het bewerken van metaal, kunststof, hout en nog veel meer.
