Let your children prepare the invitations for their party!
- Jan 6, 2021
There are very few occasions that a child looks forward to more than his or her birthday and the party that follows.
While the preparations are underway, the birthday boy is probably thinking about what games to play with his friends and schoolmates, what presents he will receive and how to organise his day.
So why not let them organise the invitations too?
Let your child's imagination run wild and let him or her create their own birthday party invitations.
Both the classmates and their parents will greatly appreciate the originality and creativity of the birthday boy/girl.
The Basics
Would you like to try out this creative activity with your child? These are the basics to get started:
- Use a paper or cardboard base that is strong enough and durable enough to prevent it from breaking during the process.
- Use craft materials and save enough to decorate all the invitations.
- Let your child experiment and find their own style, but try to keep up with them and guide their process. (In this way you will achieve a result you will both be proud of).
Start by collecting the materials needed for decoration such as coloured pencils, felt-tip pens, wax colours, stickers, beads or fabrics and don't be afraid to experiment with materials such as wool and needle and thread.
For everything else, a bit of glue and scissors are the only tools needed.
The stamp: incredibly fun
There is also another way to give a personal and unique touch to your child's birthday party invitations, a stamp is an unexpected solution that will surprise you.
With our hobby stamps your child can unleash all his creativity.
Our hobby stamps offer a great choice of shapes and themes: spirals, flowers, animals etc., but you can also insert a personal text of your choice to make your stamp even more unique.
Tip: It is better to have more than one ink pad for your stamps, so that you do not have to wait for your turn to stamp if several artists are working at the same time in the same creative session.
