Cleaning your stamp? This is how it's done!

Do you want to enjoy your stamps for as long as possible? It is important to keep them tidy.
Whether they are hobby stamps that are used occasionally or office stamps that are used daily, cleaning them regularly is the advice we give you to ensure that they last a long time.
How to clean stamps? Some practical tips.

Cleaning with soaked baby wipes

Most stamps are easy to clean. After use, simply stamp on paper until the ink runs out.
Clean your hobby or office stamps with a damp cleaning cloth.
These wipes are ideal because they are soft and at the same time have sufficient cleaning power to remove ink from stamps.

CAUTION WITH WATER AND WOODEN STAMPS

Pay attention to the moisture level of your wipes: they should feel damp but not wet to the touch.
Wooden stamps should never be washed under running water, as this can cause the stamp to detach from the wood!
Always clean stamps immediately after use, otherwise the ink will dry out and it will be difficult to remove it later.

STAMP CLEANER FOR THOROUGH CLEANING

Do you use your stamps very often and have they become very dirty?
Have you had your stamps for a long time and you don't clean them as thoroughly as you started? This is perfectly normal and easy to solve.
Buy a special stamp cleaner. This way your stamps will be clean again.
One disadvantage is that a tin of stamp cleaner is more expensive than wet wipes so be careful and only use the cleaner if "normal" cleaning is no longer sufficient.

PRODUCTS TO CHOOSE ACCORDING TO THE INKS

Usually a damp cloth or stamp cleaner is sufficient to clean the stamps. Only if you use special inks, such as waterproof or permanent ink, will you need a specific solvent or cleaning product. Take a look at the packaging before you start cleaning the various types of ink.
The wrong cleaning agent can permanently damage your stamp.
